Insulation
Internal Wall Insulation
Internal Wall Insulation is designed to reduce the loss of heat from your home. Insulating your solid walls is a highly effective way to improve energy efficiency and to keep you cosy all year round.
The SWIP IWI system is designed to upgrade your solid walls and uses thermally engineered composite studs, insulation slabs and Earthwool Batt Glass Mineral Wool. These materials provide high performance thermal insulation as they can be combined to produce a greater thickness, when compared with other insulation methods. SWIP Studs are designed to eliminate thermal bridging issues. These studs are unaffected by moisture, resulting in maximum thermal efficiency. Once the SWIP insulation has been installed at your property, our fully qualified tradesmen will skim the insulated plasterboard with a thistle board finish, ready for you to decorate upon completion of the works.
Internal Wall Insulation from Newholme Energy is completed to an exceptional standard and comes with a 25-year workmanship warranty and a 25-year product warranty. All insulation works funded by the ECO4 Scheme come with an insurance backed guarantee.
Newholme Energy also install a ventilation strategy, which is designed to reduce the buildup of moisture, damp, mold and mildew in your home.
Cavity Wall Insulation
A Cavity Wall is an external wall in your property which is non-solid. Due to there being space (a cavity) between the outer wall and inner wall, heat will escape from this Cavity Wall if it is not sufficiently insulated.
The ECO4 Scheme provides funding to have Cavity Wall Insulation (CWI) installed at your property, at no cost to you.
Viable forms of Cavity Wall Insulation include bead or wool. Our Retrofit Assessor will determine if Cavity walll Insulation is required at your propety.
All CWI installers must adhere to strict compliance guidelines, so all Cavity Wall Insulation under the ECO4 Scheme is backed by a guarantee. This means that your cavity wall will not be insulated unless it is suitable to do so.
All insulation works under the ECO4 Scheme require the correct ventilation strategy to be installed, so there is no need to worry about moisture or damp buildup in your home.
Loft Insulation
If your property has a loft space that is not sufficiently insulated, Newholme Energy have that covered.
Whether your loft is completely uninsulated or just needs a top up, we have teams who will insulate the area correctly to increase the thermal efficiency of your home.
Using lightweight, non-combustible glass mineral insulation wool, our fully qualified installers go up into your loft space and roll the insulation. All Loft Insulation works are backed by a 2-year workmanship warranty.
Newholme Energy will also implement the correct ventilation strategy for your home, to provide air flow and to reduce the buildup of condensation, damp and moisture in your home.
Roof Insulation
A quarter of the heat in an uninsulated home is lost through the roof. Insulating your Roof space can help to keep you warm and to reduce your energy bills.
The SWIP RIR (Room In Roof) system used by Newholme Energy is designed to significantly reduce the heat loss in the living space in your roof. All sloping ceilings and external walls in your roof living space are insulated to become a highly thermally efficient roof with increased air tightness. The correct ventilation strategy is implemented to prevent condensation as part of the fully funded works under ECO4.
The SWIP Room In Roof System has a 25-year insurance backed guarantee and is covered by a 25-year workmanship warranty with Newholme Energy.
In addition to Room In Roof insulation, the ECO4 Scheme also provides funding for Flat Roof Insulation and Pitched Roof Insulation, where this is necessary for your property. Newholme Energy can install all of these measures.
Our fully qualified Retrofit Assessor will determine the most suitable approach for your home during their in-person visit.
